Description
Up for sale is this beautiful vintage Favorit road bike. Made in czechoslovakia in 1974 the bike was imported to the states and ended up seeing very little if any use. I suspect it to be NOS as the person I purchased it from was a former shop owner and claimed the bike had sat all its life. Bike is complete and original with paint, chrome, logos, and components show little to no wear or use. Even the tires are in near new condition. All parts are Favorit branded except for the leather saddle which bears a "sport 05" stamp. I understand that Ideale may have made some of Favorit's leather saddles, this example is in perfect condition with no cracks or scratches. The bike comes equipped with a new PW8 rear derailleur shifting a 4 speed freewheel. A plastic favorit front derailleur is mounted on double chainrings. Wheel size is 27X 1 1/4, the bike is currently equipped with 28" whitewall tires. chrome fenders with bakelite reflectors, steel rack, leather panniers (not pictured, strap damaged), and leather saddlebag with tool round out the accessories list. The bike rides very sweet and could do only for a slight tune. The paint is classic favorit, brush quality, but that only lends to the bike's charm.
Vintage 27" Univega Custom Ten Road Bike. Fair cosmetic condition, some scuffs, scratches, and a little surface rust on the frame, surface rust on the handle bars, and some rust on some of the spokes of the rear wheel. Seems to ride nicely, may need a little tune up. Seat is pretty beat up, but I thought it was comfortable. Tires should not need to be replaced immediately. Measurements:
Tires: 27"
Center of crank to top of frame: 24.5"
top rail: 21"
Standover: 34.5"
60cm or 61 cm(24 inches) 1984-1985 Vintage Schwinn World Sport. I don't know much about the bike but i can say it needs a tune up. Overall, its really a great bike.It rides great. Sorry for not having enough information on the bike. The seat will not be included and the red bar cushion on the picture will also not be included. However, everything you see on the picture will be included.
Pinarello is a mid-1980 version of the Pinarello Catena Lusso with complete Campagnolo Victory group. What make this model very distinctive is the custom engraving (pantograph) of “Pinarello” or “GP” (Giovanni Pinarello) on the following:
· Chain ring (large)
· Seat post
· Stem
· Fork crown
· Seat stay top wrap around
· Shift levers
· Saddle (GP emblem)
Other items:
· 56CM C to C
· 700C Mavic Module ‘e’ rims on Campy hubs
· Bontrager Sport 700 X 23 tires
· Campy pedals w/Campy toe clips
· 3T handle bars and stem
· Cinelli cork tape
· Pump peg
· One water bottle cage and an addition set of bosses for a second cage
· 6-spd cluster
· Lots of chrome
· One brake hood is torn (see photo)
· Oxidation on several steel components
Most of the decals have cracked and are history; apparently this is common for this older model Pinarellos. The frame has numerous paint scratches but no dings/dents.
